Fazil and I each donated a pair of shoes to the local workers

Sometimes we have the opportunity to see the immediate effects of our efforts. This is primarily how PHA was originally started. Some of the base’s local workers usually approach us with basic needs and we try to help them as much as we can. Recently, one of the local workers was in need of a pair of shoes. Fazil, one of our interpreters was immediately eager to help. He donated a pair of shoes to the worker who was grateful for the gesture.

Asad and members of First Platoon Prepare for the Distribution

On 7 March 2010, 1st Platoon, Destined Company, led by 1LT Jensen had the opportunity to deliver 120 school supply packets to the district’s literacy and English classes offered. The students come from various sectors of the community. Some are teenagers, while some are adults. There are evan some local police officers in the course. The course is offered privately by a local teacher, but there was no help from outside sources. After the school supply delivery, the teacher called back to thank Project Help Afghanistan for the donation. he also mentioned that the donation will facilitate and encourage future learning in the district.
