Boxes of donations from Diane Bekel and Michael Kim

I just got back to where I work couple nights ago, and it is good to be back to my friends here in Afghanistan. It took me all most two weeks to get back here due to flight shortages and mechanical issues.

As soon as I arrived, Dr. Rafi, Asad, and I went on working on the projects. They took me to the Pashto classroom and showed me all the boxes came in from Diane Bekel. I was very surprised.

Last night, we took 4 hours to unpack all the boxes and re-arranged them by the sizes. Diane sent over 300 pairs of shoes.

Also Michael Kim from San Diego, California sent a boxful of t-shirts and jeans.

For next few weeks, we will be distributing these gifts to local people and schools.

-11 Graduating students

4. Project Shoes-N-Clothes for Afghan Children
-Goshta Girls Elementary School of Goshta District
-200 students
-gift package includes: 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of clothes, school supplies
-13 teachers
-men’s shoes and women’s shoes for their wives
5. Food and Other gifts
-A refugee camp
-Medical mission trip
