Spirit of America
November 19, 2009
Wow, I am so thankful to this non-profit organization called, Spirit of America, that Chaplain Satterfield (I call him, ‘the Resourceful man,’ because everything I share, he puts the info out somewhere and helps me somehow. =) ) introduced me to. Ms. Natasha Norman is an amazing lady from the Spirit of America. I gave her a long email of what we are doing and she posted two full pages on their website dedicated to our cause to help collect donations from everywhere to support us.
Project Afghan Literacy donation site is available here.
Project Shoes-N-Clothes for Afghan Children (PSNCFAC) donation site is available here.
I am just amazed at how quickly they can build these pages and help us.
What they do is they promote humanitarian projects like ours on their website and collect donations on our behalf and purchase the things needed to complete it. Isn’t that amazing??!!??! =)
I just received an email from Ms. Norman, notifying me that they will be sending us:
60 dry erase markers and 10 dry erase board erasers
144 mechanical pencils
500 one subject notebooks
100 erasers for pencils
We will be sure to look out for them and put them to good use to help out Afghani students.
Thanks, Ms. Norman and the Spirit of America!!!
