Project Illiteracy - students study hard in class
The weather is very hot and humid. Everyone tries to avoid the sun as much as possible.
Thankfully the Project illiteracy class is going very nicely. Everyone is working hard and enjoying the class very much. They are so proud of themselves.
They all have changed in many ways. They are no longer the same illiterates 2 ½ weeks ago. They have so much confidence. They are eager to learn more and more every day. They raise hands with answers and questions, seeking more knowledge. They are so proud that they have the answers to the questions Dr. Rafi asks. They want to come up to the board and show off.
I sit in every class with them; learn and watch how they are changing. Dr. Rafi, Asad, and I are so thankful that we were able to offer the class to them.

Very focused...
One of the students commented on the video this morning. “My name is Jashim. I am from Behsood district. I am happy to be in this class, because it changed me. Before the class, I could not even read Pashto alphabets, but now I read signs on the stores. When I went to a bazaar two days ago, I was able to read what the merchants were selling. I am so thankful that they offered this class to us. I pray that they are successful.”
I am preparing to work even bigger projects in the near future, but I know there will be obstacles. I just hope that I have the strength to overcome them.
